When should the battery tab be removed from the AutoFlex Connect?
The battery tab should be removed from the AutoFlex Connect as soon as the control is powered up for the first time. If the control is shut down and the battery tab is still inserted the control will do an immediate hard shutdown, which may damage the control.
If the control is going to be powered off for more than 24 hours, it is recommended that the battery tab be re-inserted. If the battery tab is not re-inserted the battery will slowly drain. A fully drained battery will need to have the control turned on to charge the battery, and it will be 10+ hours before the battery will have enough charge to allow the control to turn on.
