Output is stuck at 100%

Output is stuck at 100%

1. Verify phasing and field wiring
2. Verify slave A to B wiring
3. Remove VAR load wire from VLX-20. Measure this to ground, and see if it has no voltage or if there is somewhere further on that circuit that is sourcing voltage to load. If there is line voltage present, investigate field wiring. If no line voltage is present, investigate possible issue with VLX-20 by replacing board and triac and seeing if it's fixed.

The most common reason for a unit to be stuck on the PHASON screen during boot up is issues reading the PHASON USB. This could be a sign that your PHASON USB has become write protected, or damaged, and the computer is getting stuck trying to read it. ...
    • Can a current sense input be paired to an output?

Yes, a CurrentSense-2 can be configured to an IN-4 input. That input can then be assigned to an RM-4 output. This allows for a high alarm shut-off to be enabled for that output, similar to what an RM-2 is capable of.
    • Does a low or high temperature alarm affect the output?

No. If there is a low or high temperature alarm the, alarm contacts will change state but the variable output will continue to operate according to the programmed settings.
    • Why do I measure full voltage output when the control says it should be less?

The control and expansions need to have a load connected for the triac to give a correct output. If there are no mats (load) connected to the triac output, the output will always read full voltage, no matter what you set the control to. As soon as ...
    • Why does my equipment still run when the output is at 0 percent?

Some equipment may still operate at a very low value at 0 percent. Use the disconnect relay to fully cut off the power to the equipment and ensure that 0 percent means fully off. See Connect Equipment in the user manual for more information.
