Do I need the KPT-DISPLAY or KPEC-PLUS-TOUCH?

The old version backboard has a big black heatsink on the regulator as shown below. This backboard requires the KPEC-PLUS-TOUCH kit.

The new version of backboard has a small DC-DC power supply as shown below. This backboard uses the KPT-DISPLAY kit.
