To control heat lamps within
the AutoFlex Connect-2 you would use a VAC-1 board. https://phason.ca/pdfs/vac-1.pdf
Heat lamps can be controlled via a VAC-1 module, assigning
the output as “Variable Heating”.
Once you have the module configured, the settings will work
like a variable cooling fan, but in the opposite direction.
Minimum Load: This is the %
output where the heat lamps start. (kind of like Idle Speed) In the example
above, the 20 represents % of heat.
Heat Cut off: This is the Temperature at which the Heat Lamps will shut
off completely. In the image above the Heat Cutoff is set at 17C.
Set Point: As the Temperature reading falls and hit’s the “Set Point”,
the output % will begin to proportionally increase. In the image above the Set Point
is set at 15C.
Differential: This is the
Temperature reading at which the Heat Lamps will be at 100%. In the image above
the Set Point is set at 9C.
We can’t directly control based
on Wattage, however if the electrician measured the wattage, he may be able to
use his measurements to adjust the settings and achieve something similar.
Also the VAC-1 module is rated for a maximum load of 800W @
120V / 1600 W @ 230V. Anything beyond that will require a VLX-20 slave box https://phason.ca/variable-load-expansion.htm
