Can I use the VCM-DC with a chimney fan that does not have a feedback measuring fan?
Yes! When configuring the VCM-DC output, you can configure it in either feedback mode, or no feedback mode. In no feedback mode there is a user-defined ratio for fan speed to damper position. The default ratio is 2, which means that a fan speed of 25% would have a damper position of 50%, a fan speed of 35% would have a damper position of 70%, etc.
